MAY 2024
Director Lilith Kugler wins The megaherz Student Award at DOK.fest München
for Hausnummer Null
Jury statement: “We, the Student Award jury, have chosen a film that touched us from the very first shot, captivated us for 95 minutes in the darkness of the cinema and has not let go ever since. HAUSNUMMER NULL is a courageous film that focuses closely and with a clear view on its protagonist, but also accompanies the important supporting characters through harsh reality with a loving eye. It is an important film because it really engages with this harsh reality that others only glimpse at. And it is also a beautiful film because the camera repeatedly finds images and perspectives that fascinate and gently guide our gaze. Working as a filmmaker also means constantly developing a method to do the subject and the protagonists justice. Maintaining integrity, going where others look away, having confidence in your own project and never losing it: the director has achieved all of this. We congratulate Lilith Kugler on winning the Student Award 2024 for her film HAUSNUMMER NULL.”
Jury: Samuel Albert (Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg), Nina Fritz (Zürcher Hochschule der Künste), Verena Wagner (Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film München)

Sisley "Pleasure First" Fashion Film is featured on the coveted Kodak Shoot Film account
PLEASURE FIRST shot on 16mm by directors Megan Courtis & Antonio Pedrofor Sisley FW22 Campaign. “We knew from the moment we started storyboarding that 16mm analog film stock would provide our film a cinematic intimacy and raw grainy texture that would be unparalleled to other formats. It was a special project for us because the client truly trusted our vision and let us run with an aesthetic that we’ve stuck to and loved to experiment with since starting out out as Directors/Photographers. “Our fashion film is shot on 500T and pushed one stop. It’s about a woman who finds herself lost and in love in an underground club in Berlin. We wanted to incorporate these intense washes of scarlet red and absinthe green to represent the intoxicated feeling of sensual flashbacks and passion. The 500T film stock was the perfect medium for achieving this gritty feeling in the bar and club scenes and a beautiful depth of colour running throughout.”
